CAMEROON
Recently,
the Fremont Chapel GBC sent the Panel a letter requesting to be
officially recognized as the sponsoring church for Cameroon. They
are in the process of putting together a written plan. Brother
David Burris, a former missionary to Africa, is the contact person
to the men in Cameroon from Fremont Chapel.
Church
Planter Salomon Zambo reports: Pray for Afoni, a new brother in
Christ, who is also in the Practorium now here in Kumbo. He is
precious to us for he is the first Banso man here in Kumbo to really
show potential as a pastor. Afoni is married and has two children.
Eric
Fongang writes: It has been
nearly 1 year since I came to Yaoundé for ministry. Before this I
worked for a building/ construction company in the capital. Having
received the Lord’s call, I left to go to the Cameroon Biblical
Seminary. After all the separations that we have had, I’m in the
process of directing a young group. We are actually 6 believers who
meet in my apartment. Wednesday evening is Bible study. Sunday
morning at 9 am is our worship service. All these meetings take
place in my house. I have some work - I’m a salesman at a Christian
bookstore in the center of Yaoundé. I am open to advice, council.
Roger
Yoda in Abong Mbang writes: The
evangelization campaign in Dimako went well. Six people from three
families were saved during the five days. The man who was in prison
and to be released this month, is from Dimako and is interested in
being trained for the ministry. His name is Michel. The Abong
Mbang church has currently planned to return to Dimako each month
for three days to follow-up on this small group of believers, among
whom there is already a faithful brother who can help in their
spiritual growth. Travel to Dimako takes 2 hours and 30 minutes by
taxi, about 100 kms./62 miles. Continue to pray for this group in
Dimako and the one in Abong Mbang.
