No real need for a park here, you can pretty much set off cross country and find the seclusion and views. Nonetheless, for those seeking a properly marked trail:

Atwood Lake Park offers several trails, beginning across from the recreation center. Also, before the entrance to the park proper (across from the campsites) is a short trail.

Atwood Resort. Park in the Lodge parking lot, then follow the sign up the hill. This trail is also maintained for cross-county skiing. Ask at the front desk to rent equipment.

Seven Ranges Boy Scout Camp- Camp Algonkin area. Meter Road, East Twp.
Hutch's Trail, 8.5 miles total, is broken into 5 bite-sized loops. Make sure you catch the commanding view atop Thunderbird Hill. If you take the entire trail, plan on 4-5 hours.

Algonquin Mill Farm For a short walk, stop and view the buildings, then stroll through the Arboretum.
